This excerpt made me think on how individualistic is
capitalism. There is no sense of community, people are selfish. I had this idea
of a more romantic world. But actually this is not happening. I need to think
realistically not idealistically. The text also has this beautiful but naive
idea. Life is unjust. Not all the time gratitude is directed to whom share
gifts to the world. However I do believe that through gratitude we can support
a revolution, with gratitude things can improve.
This reminds me of the text we read from Junot Diaz and the
use of hope as a revolutionary and radical weapon. I really appreciate the idea
of a leader less rooted in power and authority but in service and wisdom, where
relationships are reciprocal.
