Radical Hope is Our Best Weapon
When listening to this I was most taken back by my reaction to this podcast rather than the conversation between Krista Tippet and Junot Diaz. I feel like I am supposed to love this conversation because of the language used and etc. I felt most of the conversations was somewhat unproductive? He talks about global warming and how we are going to react to it in the future but also offers no solution? Also, Trump is kind of label as the face of the enemy today but fails to mention why he is the face? He mentions Trump a lot of acts of his administration is the main villain in this story. Which I don’t agree with, Trump has the poor he has because a dangerous group of people in this times feel like they have no voice. So I felt Junot talking about Trump and Global warming was very unproductive. Why are we talking about what we already know? Why does the conversation not talk about solutions or things that we are doing?
Radical Hope to me is believing doing strong acts/leaps towards a goal that is more beneficial to our society and our home.
