1. Young Fidel Castro
This would entail Sebastian Salfate dressing up and performing as Fidel Castro. I'm not sure yet if this would exist as something live, or if it would only exist via photo or video, or both. I think the photo and video is the obvious route to go, but perhaps a live component could come about. The photo or video piece would be various stagings from the life of Fidel. I think it would be great to mix in some pictures that people may categorize as defaming, among other staged photos of historical accounts. Potential photos of defamation may include (but are not limited to) shots of Fidel in a bathing suit or Speedo, with beautiful women around him in bikini's (perhaps feeding him), Fidel doing drugs or partying, Fidel holding hands with another man, etc... Photoshop will have been utilized so the pictures fit the look of photographs from that time period. They will be hung in a gallery exhibition in such a way as to give the feel of archival photos.
2. Informatics for the Apocalypse
Another idea I've had is to fabricate some sort of placards, or sort of headstones with brief information about humanity. These would need to be made from heavy duty industrial materials, or something else sturdy enough to withstand whatever time on this planet may bring. Basically, the most indestructible material that isn't outrageously expensive. For this project I was thinking of using the help of Agustin to help me build these.
