Lauren and Sharon's Project Idea Seeds Continued

I feel that Sharon and I have constructed an idea that provides a unique opportunity for an introduction of new ideas between varying generations. We are hoping to highlight the distinction between politics and people, and capitalize more on the every day person. Writing handwritten letters is significant, as it is inherently more personable- one has to write down each word in their own unique handwriting, thus creating something more tangible than an email. The handwritten letter itself creates a kind of intimacy, which will be profound in creating closeness between two different countries. This installation could also function in other countries as well, and would hopefully reveal more of the humanity that exists in country to country relationships. Some questions about specifics of the project:
-Would those who write the letters, whether they are in Cuba or the US, be able to see the completed project? Once both countries have answered questions?
-Would there be resources for the conversation to continue?
-Would there be specific topics we'd ask the writers to focus on, or will we give them the opportunity to say whatever they want, unfiltered?
-A proposal for a new kind of revolution would be to find a way for people to communicate without the government been involved? To create a pattern of people engaging in dialogue about issues, and then going to politicians?
