Hello everyone! Once again my name is Ruben Rubio (MFA 2 Actor), and I am from Culver City, CA. I first was introduced to Cal Arts and theater when I was a California State Summer School for the Arts student ('99). I then continued on to get a BA in Theater from UCLA School of Theater, Film, & Television ('03). Furthermore, I have worked in film, TV ("The Shield", "The Closer"), commercials (LensCrafters, Gatorade, Panasonic), and theater (La victima, Short Eyes). I have always wanted to have a strong background in acting for the stage, and I am happy to be a part of the Arts and Activism class to get an opportunity to use my training as a tool to share my beliefs and what I am most passionate about through art.
