Questions.
- What are the positive indicators in our family history in which "hope" has played a key role for liberation, equality, fairness, etc. Is the quality of my life a product of the hope of my ancestors?
- How Can I Continued this Silence Activism ?
- Can art accompany Hope in their aim for freedom.
Reflection.
As young artists/activists I find that often we fall in the negativism of the idea that nothing changes or improves. Junot Díaz's , invites us to understand human processes with a broader and long term view. Humans have gone through many calamities created by our own species and we have solved them. Diaz's also compares capitalism, liberalism, white supremacy to the idea of an invulnerable man. I believe that the idea of the super-man is a myth that has accompanied western society for centuries and should be a topic address by arts.
What might be your vision for radical hope?
I believe Radical hope is an everyday practice, a practice that is constant and has to be present in everyday action. Radical Hope is the sum of actions of an entire society aiming for liberty, equality, fairness. I think that Radical hope is the thought behind every action and work of art that we produce.
