1) I was very confused on his repetition of "African descent". Did he mean all humans? Since all humans came from Africa..Or is he referencing himself Since he keeps saying "those of us"- incinerating that he is from Africa
2)Why does he think that silence is powerful on such intense situations? Especially those are being relocated and sent away from their ethnic home. Why not have them speak to remember themselves and where they came from-and pass that on to their children and so on?
3)Is love the most important thing though? In his eyes?
1) I honestly had no idea what he was saying half the time due to the large words he was using as well as the fact that he kind of avoiding questions
2)I very much agree with his statement that we can sometimes deceive ourselves with the idea that everything is lovely and safe. But to feel true safety and love we must be vulnerable
3)The connection he made between humans and the earth as being vulnerable and therefore giving love was very striking to me. In a positive way.
I feel like the most radical of all "common" hopes would be world peace. I was thinking about what I would want as a radical hope but what I want has one common thread which is world peace..I feel like its very cliche but it seems like something that can never be done but we all say we want it to. But something that seems a little less radical but still radical hope is the death of social media. I would just loved if it stopped
