My name is Sebastian Salfate. I came from Chile to pursuit an MFA in Film Directing. At the moment I am cursing my second year in this career. I have dedicated most of my professional life to work both as a visual artist and a filmmaker, exploring the idea of work and spectator with different approaches in the two different medium. In relation to that I considered that I want to produce a really experimental art practice while also creating really conventional films. I have work both personally and collectively in a myriad of project in both galleries and museums. As a filmmaker I have work mostly as a editor and director. I am interested in questioning the intrinsic process of cultural production and in the societal manifestation that surround non-productive work (like art, philosophy sports and hobbies).
