Hi! I'm Carolina Vargas Romero from Chile. I came to the U.S in a Fulbright Scholarship 2 years ago, currently I'm a MFA3 Actress at CalArts. I received my BFA in Acting at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile where Theater is considered a political choice and it's an important part of our training. I've performed in diverse formats, starting on Television (Amango, Corazón Rebelde) when I was 14 years old, then Theater (Una Odisea, La Última Línea, Bésame Mucho, within others), Film
(Gran HIjo del Sol, currently in postproduction) and worked on Performance
Studies research in Chile. At Calarts, I've been part of Vinegar Tom (dir.
Julianne Just), Medea, Cobblefuck
Stonetown, Night at the Central Market (LA) and The End The End The End (dir. Scarlett Kim), You are not Alone (dir
Jonghee Woo), Soldier Feelings (dir. María Videla), Fat Girl (dir. Joana
Knezevic) and El Acercamiento (dir. Evelyn Serrano). After spending the summer
shooting a movie in my home country and performing at the Edinburgh Fringe
Festival, I've joined the production of
The Seagull (Dir. Michael Alvarez) and I'm very excited for all the new adventures to come!
