This semester Arts in Activism has taught me many skills regarding art making and collaboration. I think that the most important lesson I have learnt has been regarding the feminist work that I want to create and the voices that I want to give to women all over the world through my art work.
My research paper allowed me to explore the work of another feminist writer and poet Rupi Kaur and to be inspired as well as educated by her work and create a format that shared her work through my paper.
The skills of producing and collaboration that you, Evelyn have taken us through have been incredibly beneficial for my development as someone who wishes to create engaging and collaborative work in my career. I have enjoyed meeting and talking with people who are not in my program and discuss tactics for art making and engagement.
Finally I thoroughly enjoyed the field trip we took to the museum and to have been given the opportunity to see art by artists I am not familiar with who engage with a culture that is not my own.
